EPPA — Institute for Psychological Thought of the Americas — traces its origins to the Escola Paulista de Psicologia Avançada (Paulista School of Advanced Psychology), which has contributed to the education of thousands of students and promoted national and international academic events over more than three decades.

In this new stage, the institution expands its horizon of action, focusing on the consolidation of a permanent agenda of research, intellectual production, and circulation of ideas dedicated to understanding the societies of the Americas.

The Path That Brought Us Here

Founded in 1989, EPPA has developed over more than three decades a trajectory marked by advanced education, the study of Psychology, and the promotion of academic debate.

Throughout this journey, the institution consolidated experiences, educational initiatives, and activities dedicated to the development of psychological thought.

The current stage represents the maturation of this historical process and the expansion of its field of action, affirming EPPA as an institute dedicated to investigating the psychological phenomena that shape the societies of the Americas.
